200-Hour Yoga Alliance Yoga Teacher Training
Do you want to learn more about the yoga practice and lifestyle or are you interested in becoming a yoga teacher? If so, Claire Liddle and Nancy Smith hope to satisfy your thirst with a Yoga Teacher Training beginning in 2019.

Q: WHO is a good candidate for the 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training?
A: ONE or more of the following:
A current yoga practitioner looking to deepen their knowledge of the practice. Anyone looking to inspire others in the community and beyond. An aspiring yoga teacher. A yogi who is interested in ALL that yoga has to offer, both on and off the mat, ranging from the physical, emotional, and spiritual.
Q: WHAT will we study?
A: Trainees in the program can expect to learn extensively about the following:
The physical and spiritual asana practices, teaching methodology, aspects of a yogic lifestyle, meditation and pranayama techniques, adjustments and modifications, various styles of yoga (alignment-based, vinyasa, etc) yoga anatomy and major systems of the body, Sanskrit terminology, the history of yoga and yoga texts, and much more.
All students in the training will develop a vast breadth of knowledge and awareness about themselves and the practices of yoga. Those who wish to become teachers must successfully complete all program requirements and be eligible to register with Yoga Alliance.
Q: What will the schedule be like?
A: We will meet for 11 weekend sessions over a period of 6 months.

Fridays 6:00pm – 9:00pm
Saturdays 11:00am – 6:00pm
Sundays 10:00am – 4:00pm
Q: How much will it cost?
A: All students will be required to give a nonrefundable “Hold my spot” Application deposit of $200, which will be applied to the cost of the training. PAYMENT IN FULL on or before January 1st: $2400 (Includes $200 deposit) 2) PAY IN FULL on or before February 15th: $2500 (Includes $200 deposit) 3) PAY IN FULL on or before March 1st: $2600 (Includes $200 deposit)
Q: What are the requirements for this training?
A: Attend all training hours scheduled at Movement Works over the course of 11 weekends (See above)
Complete class observations with each trainer
Attend yoga classes/styles/methods outside of Movement Works
Practice teaching your own group classes
Practice teaching with a partner (another trainee) and provide feedback
Maintain a personal asana practice with a journal
Maintain a personal meditation practice with journal
Audiotape yourself teaching and submit a self-reflection
Perform satisfactory completion of: reading/study of required text, written assignments, quizzes/tests
Q: What’s the process for registering?
A: Contact Claire or Nancy for a phone interview to tell us about your interest, complete registration form, and submit your deposit.
Q: What is the withdrawal policy?
A: If a student decides to withdraw from a program, he/she must provide a dated, written, notice of withdrawal to the studio owner and lead instructor. Refunds are calculated according to institutions refund policy and the date on which the written notice of withdrawal is received will be used to determine any refund owing.
Please note Movement Works and Claire Liddle Yoga reserve all rights to dismiss a student who is not in accordance with program standards and can result in a probation/dismissal/re-admittance status.
A student will be considered on probation if he or she needs additional instruction, has fallen behind, or is incomplete with assignments. All efforts will be made to work with he or she. The student may also be placed on probation if he or she is not receiving a passing grade. The length of the probationary period will be dependent on what the students needs are. Re-admittance from probation will be at the discretion of the lead instructor. A student will need to show improvement and progress, subjective to the lead and co instructor approval. Failure to make improvements, progress, or satisfactory grades, will result in dismissal, refunds per the studio refund policy will apply.
Application and registration will open October 20, 2019.
Claire and Nancy reserve the right to decline entry to the yoga teacher training.
Once your application is accepted, a meeting will be scheduled to choose a payment plan and review training agreements.
