Christina Lincoln

Originally from Aguadilla, Puerto Rico, Cristina came to North Carolina (via IBM) in 2001 after graduating from the University of Puerto Rico with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration.
Like many, Cristina’s first experience with yoga (2001) was not a rewarding one.  After giving it a second chance in 2003 and to her surprise, she was hooked!  She tried various styles of Hatha Yoga until she found her home in alignment based and therapeutic yoga.  A Certified Yoga Instructor through the Asheville Yoga Center’s 230hr Vinyasa program with Stephanie Keach in 2007, another 200 hrs through the Triangle Anusara Teacher Training Institute with Lila Brown and Paul & Sommer Sobin (2008), and 133 hrs with Desiree Rumbaugh and Marc St. Pierre (2011), Cristina is devoted to broadening her understanding and practice of Yoga.  She has studied with world renown teachers Sean Corn, Sarah Powers, and John Friend.
Cristina has been practicing Yoga for over 12 years and is eternally grateful for the life transformation she has undergone through her yoga practice. It was through her practice that she realized her passion in life was not to work for Corporate America, but to follow her heart’s calling of inspiring personal growth in others through spreading the light of Yoga – both on and off the mat.
Cristina inspires her students to awaken their innate freedom and radiance by breaking through limitations and discovering new possibilities through their yoga practice.  Off the mat, Cristina thrives in motherhood to her 5 yr old son, James and 2 yr old daughter, Lorna.  She enjoys everything creative – coloring, jewelry making, knitting, cooking, home design, etc. You can catch her slowing down with mat and/or book in hand at Sunset Beach,NC with the little ones and her husband David.  Namaste.
